The ending of that article felt almost like someone changed the emotional register in the final minute. For most of the piece there was a thoughtful argument unfolding, and then suddenly the conclusion moved into broad, almost motivational language that didn’t seem to emerge naturally from what came before. That bothered me because conclusions do a lot of invisible work. They either deepen what preceded them or weaken it. Here it felt like weakening. It wrapped complexity in a neat takeaway after spending the body showing why things were not neat. That contradiction stood out. I don’t even think the conclusion was bad in isolation. It just didn’t belong to the same rhythm as the rest. It felt imported. I kept expecting the ending to revisit earlier tensions and instead it drifted toward uplift. That left me unsatisfied.

Sometimes endings overreach trying to sound resonant. I think this one did. It wanted to leave a strong final note, but coherence would have mattered more than emphasis.
