Knowing when to ship is difficult because AI systems rarely feel perfectly finished. There is always another prompt tweak, another evaluation pass, or another small improvement that could make the result better. At some point, though, the team has to judge whether the product is good enough for the intended use. That decision should be based on measurable value, not on the hope that one more iteration will remove all risk. The right shipping moment is usually when the system is reliable enough, useful enough, and observable enough to improve after launch.
