Contradicting responses observed

Contradicting responses are a serious trust problem because they make the system feel uncertain even when the user asks a simple question. If one answer says one thing and another answer says the opposite, the product quickly loses credibility.

This can happen because of inconsistent prompts, unstable retrieval, session context differences, or hidden randomness. The important part is to identify where the contradiction enters the flow rather than assuming the model is simply “wrong.”

Consistency improves when the system is constrained more tightly and the source of truth is better controlled. The goal is not just to answer, but to answer in a way that stays coherent across sessions and users.
