Latency affecting usefulness

Latency affects usefulness because users judge the whole experience, not just the final answer. A response that arrives too late often feels less valuable, even if it is technically strong.

That matters more in interactive workflows where people are waiting to act. The longer the delay, the more the system feels detached from the user’s real moment of need.

Reducing latency can therefore improve adoption as much as improving accuracy. In many products, speed is part of the quality definition, not just a technical detail.
